On Plays Diffspring, Sidewards Ebb resynthesises punk rock/pop fragments. Each track is a live take with a modular synthesiser processing two short frozen samples. Scanning through these, adjusting the harmonic depth of resynthesis and applying other effects contorts the song fragments into barely recognisable, lurching hauntologies.
